Reporting a Concern

Reporting a Safeguarding Concern

If you find yourself with a suspicion, knowledge or concern that child abuse is happening, or if you hear an allegation or disclosure about child abuse, there are a few ways to report it.

If the allegation or concern is about a member of church personnel (someone who works or volunteers for the Church) please contact one of our Diocesan Designated Liaison Persons (DLPs).

Mrs Mary Trench: 097 931 5823
Fr Francis Mitchell: 087 407 0206

The Designated Liaison Person will respond promptly and will liaise with Tusla, An Garda Síochána and the relevant church authorities.

If the allegation or concern is about non-church personnel (someone who does not work or volunteer for the Church) please contact Tusla and An Garda Síochána.

If you are unsure who to talk to, you may of course consult with either of the DLPs listed above (anonymously if you wish) for advice on what procedure to follow.
